Citability
What is citability.org?
Citability supports making public government documents and data available online and citable such that they can be easily referenced for public debate, commentary and analysis. This requires that archived versions of documents be stored and linkable so that changes can be easily spotted and reference links remain intact.
Our ideas about how to accomplish these goals by making implementation free and easy to use for government employees through modifications to free open source software, the creation of new free software, and the extensions of existing proprietary systems, are available on our citability wiki.

Help us create the next generation of citable tools!
Join us April 9-11 either in Washington DC or remotely for the upcoming DC Codeathon where we will gather together to exchange ideas and crank out some fantastic software!
At the conclusion of the event, we will have the opportunity to showcase the new tools directly to government groups who are excited about being able to use them. What we build could have an immediate impact on the availabilty and accessbility of government information, leading to greater transparency.
